THE PLAN

2019 is well underway and both Sarah and I have some fun projects lined up for this year. For me, I actually bought a planner to plan them all out. I guess you could call that my 2019 resolution… to plan more 😉 One of the projects I am looking forward to most is transforming our dining room window, into a window seat! It’s been on the list since we bought our house, but it currently is where we keep our dog’s crates. Those are actually being moved – FINALLY. But that my friends, is a wholeeee other project (which I’m hoping to dive into it next week!). Anyways, I wanted to plan ahead for the window seat (see… I got that new year’s resolution working there) and get some ideas for wall sconces.

For me, I don’t want to hardwire any of the wall lights because well, let’s be honest… it requires more work. And, having them be a plugin wasn’t an option either. So! I am jumping on board with Nesting With Grace’s magic light trick, which you can read about on her blog. For those of you that have been tossing the idea of adding some wall lights – but didn’t want to go through the work of hardwiring them, then this is the perfect solution!

The hardest part of the magic light trick might actually be finding the perfect wall sconce for the space! I wanted to share my favorite picks with you that I found while browsing for them! There are so many to choose from, which made it difficult. Plus, I always try to keep the budget in mind and so I looked for wall sconces that were under $50. Most of them I found were around $25-30, but there were a few in there closer to the $50 mark.

Like I said, picking the light will be the hardest part of creating this magic light trick. Which one do you like best? I’m torn between a few and would like some input! Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
