I don’t know about you guys, but I’m horrible about putting up artwork or photos on the walls in my home. I’m just very indecisive with what I want to do and I always think it’s going to be a pain in the a** to hang. Well, if you’ve never heard of photo hanging wire, google it because it’s a life saver.

I always have issues with getting the nail to line up exactly with the frame hook. Photo hanging wire gives you some leeway to adjust. So, to help you guys out I’m going to show you how you can easily and securely add wire to your frames and artwork to make the wall decor hanging process go just a little bit smoother.

What You Need:

STEP 1

Pull one end of your wire through both D-Rings. Leave about 5 or so inches of leftover wire when you pull it through.

STEP 2

After pulling your wire through both D-Rings, take that excess wire you have and loop it over and under the main wire (See below photo on the left).

Then, pull the wire again through the D-Ring (See below photo on the right).

STEP 3

Now, take that wire you just pulled through the D-ring and start wrapping it around the main wire.

I wrapped it about 4 or 5 times to secure it. You can cut the excess off or just continue to wrap the rest.

STEP 4

Now, that you have the right side secure, then pull the wire tight through the other D-ring on the left. Use wire cutters to leave yourself about 5 inches of extra wire and repeat Steps 2 & 3.

Then, you are all set and ready to hang your frame!
