In honor of Earth Day today, we wanted to share with you guys a couple of our favorite products we use in our homes to help save the planet!

With these products, we hope to reduce paper & plastic waste, eliminate single-use items, & help to reduce our impact on the environment.

Brita Water Pitcher

We won’t give you all the stats on why plastic water bottles are horrible for the environment. But, we will give you one… The U.S. consumes 1500 plastic water bottles every second. Think about that. That is A LOT of plastic waste. You can help reduce that waste by eliminating the use of plastic bottles and using your refrigerator’s filtered water (if you have that), or by using a Brita Water Pitcher

Wool Dryer Balls

You may or may not know, but dryer sheets are full of harmful chemicals that are not only bad for you and your family, but also harmful to your dryer as well. We both recently switched to using these wool dryer balls and we honestly love them! They’re dye-free, non-toxic and fragrance free (you can add your own essential oils to them though!). Plus, we’ve noticed that these have reduced our drying time – a bonus!

K-Cup Filter

If you’re an at home coffee drinker and have a Keurig machine, think about giving this eco-friendly reusable filter a try! Instead of buying the single serve pods that get thrown away, you can buy your favorite flavor coffee grounds and use it with this filter!

Reusable Grocery Bags

This is probably the best thing you can do to help save the earth! We don’t know about you, but we hate getting a ton of plastic bags from our grocery trips. We do recycle them at the store, but we still know it’s a huge waste. Also, we know some states have a plastic bag ban, which we totally support! Many grocery stores offer a 5-10 cent incentive when you use reusable bags. There are a ton of reusable bags you can choose from, but we’re loving these cute eco-friendly ones the most. A bonus, they’re washable!

Mrs. Meyer’s Cleaners

If you’re thinking about using all natural home cleaners, then Mrs. Meyer’s is your go-to! All of Mrs. Meyer’s cleaning products are not only amazing “clean wise”, but eco-friendly too! Their ingredients are at least 98% naturally derived (plant based too) and smell HEAVENLY. In our opinion, Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaner is hands down, the best surface cleaner out there!

Doggie Poop Bags

These are for all our doggie moms or dads! We go on daily walks with our dogs and I won’t lie, it’s like clockwork. Kid you not, Figgy and Frankie poop on every walk, and both at certain times of a walk. We know when we get to those specific points of the walk, they’re ready to poop ? I know, TMI. Anyways, that means we go through too many poop bags. We switched to using these eco-friendly and biodegradable poop bags to help save on plastic waste. They’re vegetable based and break down within 90 days, which is awesome! Think of how much plastic bag waste that will save. The best part about this product – they donate a portion of each purchase to animal rescues and no kill shelters ?❤️

Landscape Water Barrels

Here’s another great way to save water. During heavy rain falls, a typical roof can produce hundreds of gallons of water. That sounds like a lot, right? Because it is! By saving that water, you can reduce your average water usage by up to 40%!! Help water your lawn and garden by using these rain barrels and save on cost too.

Seed Starter Kit

Do you have a green thumb, or a black thumb? ??‍? Either way, these eco-friendly and biodegradable seed starter kits are perfect for any flower or vegetable garden. Instead of buying those black plastic containers, give these 100% biodegradable seed pots a try. The best part – you don’t even have to replant them! Just plop these containers right into the ground. ?

Reusable Snack Bags

Let’s be honest, we love snacks! LOL. Which means, we can go through a ton of plastic snack bags. We bought reusable snack bags earlier this year and they definitely have come in handy!  Plus, using reusable snack bags can save over 350 plastic bags. These eco-friendly, reusable snack bags are leakproof and BPA-FREE.?♻️

Starbucks Reusable Cups

As you know, we’re both Starbucks coffee lovers. We grab coffees often and know how many plastic straws and cups we’d go through if we didn’t have our reusable cups. Not only do you help save the earth by using these, but you also save 10 cents on each purchase as well.

You typically can purchase the 16 ounce travel cup or the 24 ounce cold cups at your local Starbucks for just a few dollars. Or, you can find them online here – 16oz. travel cup. 24oz. Cold Cup.
